UPDATE – 10th August 2026

Aberdeenshire Council have sent an updated suggested diversion route, this is given below.
Note from the Road Department
“Please be advised that because the C107c Castle Fraser (GARR1760) has an emergency closure in place due to a dangerous tree, the diversion route for the C108c Cluny School closure due to start for 1 day only between 12th and 14th August will now be via the A944 and C109c (see attached GARR1757 Amend). That will also have an impact on the C107c diversion for the 1 day whilst we carry out the repairs to the C108c.
We realise that both diversions have a slight conflict and may cause some confusion, we will endeavour to make it clear on the signage. We were looking at carrying out the repairs on the C108c Cluny school prior to the school returning so took the decision rather than postpone the works till the schools are back, to carry on with the closure for the 1 day between 12th and 14th August.
We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause.”
