Aberdeenshire Council are now accepting applications for the Perennials for Pollinators 2024 scheme.

Dear Aberdeenshire Greenspace friends,
Today, we are excited to announce the launch of Perennials for Pollinators – Spring 2024!
For those who haven’t heard of this initiative before, this is a golden opportunity to apply for a selection of wonderful pollinator-friendly plants to bring joy, enhance biodiversity, and beautify towns and villages. These are plants that, with proper care and maintenance, will return year after year. They can also be divided and shared in the future. This project is funded as part of the Scottish Government’s Nature Restoration Fund.
As this is the third year of the initiative, we are expanding the selection of plants. Now included are native wildflowers, additional non-native garden favourites, climbers, heathers, and culinary herbs.
